Mitsuro Hikime
Mitsuro Hikime is a traditional Japanese jewelry technique. In this process, beeswax and pine resin are melted together and then, similar to candy dough, pulled and layered in many strata. Using the warmth of the hands, the wax-resin mixture is shaped, and the finished model is embedded in plaster and cast.
